Safari on Windows Crashes Too Often
I’m not much of a fan of Apple softwares on Windows. I like iTunes though, even if it’s a bit bulky. I’ve tried using Safari on Windows for its super pleasing font rendering, aesthetics and, of late, some testing on WebKit/KHTML. However, it crashes just too often to be of any serious use and, of course, doesn’t have any DOM inspector. It has a barely usable JavaScript console though.
On a side-note, I’ve read that Safari can work on Linux under Wine. I’ll give it a try sometime. Now, if only I could run iTunes under Wine
.

Those crash dump files could help make some excellent bug reports. Safari bugs can be reported through . Would you be willing to upload your crash dumps into a bug report there so that the Safari team can try to fix the problem(s)?

I have not been a fan of Safari on a Mac, lets alone a PC. Granted, Safari was leaps ahead with tab browsing, than anyone else, but its no longer the market leader. Firefox has taken with and their new version even runs on a Mac

I find Safari 3 on Windows to be quite fast and doesn’t crash all that often if at all. However, Safari 4 beta on Windows crashes like crazy.
Now, at home on my iMac Safari 4 beta runs great.
