Yahoo vs Google 5-0?

NYTimes : Yahoo!’s Consistency vs Google’s ‘Wow’.

Yahoo! vs Google

Surprise of the day - even something as uninspiring as Yahoo! 360 is 17 times bigger than Google’s Orkut. Something as useful as GTalk deserves better figures.

Do you have the exact figures of total members .. The article only talks about the number of users in USA and not in all … ;-). We were having a debate over the total number of users in orkut … by the article in NYTime US has 279K users and orkut claims 13% of its members from USA, which implies that the total size is lower them 3million, but an independant article claimed the size of orkut to be 27 million. Let me know if you find figures anywhere

orkut claims to have 24m users worldwide(see your orkut homepage :)). my impression is that above comscore numbers represent ‘active’ US users.
